The teacher designs and delivers engaging history lessons, integrating primary sources and interactive discussions to bring past events to life for students.
Scope of the Role
The role involves teaching history to classes 9 and 10, facilitating classroom debates, and coordinating with co‑teachers for interdisciplinary projects. The teacher also mentors junior staff in curriculum planning and maintains a dynamic learning environment in the classrooms of Kamal Public Sr. Sec. School.
Core Academic Duties
Daily lesson preparation, delivery of concepts from ancient to modern history, and use of visual aids and digital tools to enhance understanding. The teacher prepares weekly lesson plans aligned with the state syllabus and ensures that each session encourages critical analysis of historical events. Regular classroom interaction, group work, and student presentations are integral to the teaching process.
Assessment and Planning Duties
The teacher prepares periodic quizzes, mid‑term and end‑term exams, and projects that assess students’ comprehension and analytical skills. Grading, feedback, and progress reports are prepared in accordance with school policies. The teacher participates in curriculum review meetings to update teaching materials and incorporate contemporary historical research.
Qualification and Experience
Post‑graduate degree in History is required. B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory for teaching positions; TET/CTET is preferred but not compulsory. Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary level is expected, with a proven track record of engaging students in history education.
Salary and Location
Full‑time position at Kamal Public Sr. Sec. School located in Patel Nagar, West Delhi. Salary ranges from Rs.35,000 to Rs.50,000 per month, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
