Responsibilities
The PGT Physical Education Teacher will design and deliver engaging fitness and sports programs for students, ensuring balanced physical development. Coaching includes skill drills, game strategies, and fitness assessments. Maintaining sports equipment, managing school sports events, and coordinating with the school administration are integral parts of the role.
Typical Working Week
Students receive daily physical education classes, where the teacher leads warm‑ups, core sessions, and cool‑downs. Between classes, the teacher supervises sports practice, evaluates student performance, and prepares progress reports. The role also involves planning inter‑class tournaments and collaborating with other teachers to integrate physical activity into the overall curriculum.
Recurring Responsibilities
Weekly planning of lesson objectives and activity sequences. Regular monitoring of student attendance and participation. Consistent maintenance of sports gear and safety protocols. Frequent communication with parents regarding student progress and event participation.
Periodic Responsibilities
Organizing school‑wide sports days and annual competitions. Coordinating with external coaches for specialized training sessions. Conducting periodic health and fitness workshops for students and staff. Participating in faculty meetings to align physical education goals with school standards.
Qualification and Experience
Post‑graduate qualification with B.Ed or D.El.Ed mandatory. Two years of teaching experience in a school setting preferred. TET/CTET certification is a plus but not compulsory.
Salary
Rs.40,000 - Rs.70,000 per month.
