About This Role
This is a senior teaching position at Rp Mem Sr Sec Public School Mohan Garde for a Post Graduate Teacher in Zoology. Day-to-Day Duties
Design and deliver the Zoology syllabus for Classes XI and XII as per CBSE guidelines. Plan and conduct practical sessions in the school’s well-equipped biology lab in Patel Nagar. Monitor student progress, identify weak areas, and provide targeted remedial support after school hours.
Set term-wise test papers, analyze performance trends, and prepare board-ready question banks for Zoology. Organize inter-house science quizzes and inter-school symposia to raise departmental visibility. Collaborate with the physics and chemistry teams to run annual science exhibitions.
Mentor newly joined PGT Biology and PGT Zoology teachers; conduct demonstration lessons and share lesson plans. Maintain accurate attendance, assignment records, and lab inventory logs. Report directly to the Vice Principal for academic matters related to the science stream.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Zoology with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university. B.Ed degree is mandatory; D.El.Ed holders with Zoology specialization will also be considered. Prior teaching experience of at least 4 years in a senior secondary school environment is essential.
TET or CTET certification is preferred but not compulsory. Familiarity with CBSE Class XI-XII Zoology textbooks and lab protocols is necessary. Candidates with NET or SET in Life Sciences will be given preference.
Learning and Development
The position is designed as a stepping stone toward academic leadership at Rp Mem Sr Sec Public School Mohan Garde. Shortlisted teachers will undergo in-house training on modern pedagogies and digital teaching tools in Delhi. Internal candidates showing promise may be groomed for the Vice Principal’s post.
Perks and Pay
Monthly salary is between Rs.45,000 and Rs.55,000 depending on experience and qualifications. The package includes provident fund contributions, group health insurance, and subsidized transport from key West Delhi hubs. School timing is 7:30 am to 2:00 pm with two breaks and a mid-day meal.
