You will handle Biology classes for Classes 6 to 10 at St. Cecilia Public School in Patel Nagar. You will plan lessons that match the NCERT curriculum and set tests that check real understanding, not just memory. Lab sessions will be part of your week, so you should feel comfortable handling microscopes, specimens, and basic chemistry kits. What you will actually do
Prepare week-wise lesson plans for TGT Biology covering Life Processes, Control and Coordination, Heredity, and Ecology.
Conduct daily theory classes with simple language, using charts and models to explain mitosis or photosynthesis.
Run lab activities every alternate week—dissections, slide preparations, and basic chemistry experiments related to Biology.
Set and evaluate periodic tests, unit tests, and half-yearly exams with fair marking and feedback.
Maintain proper record of attendance, syllabus coverage, and practical work in the school diary.
Attend staff meetings and contribute to PTM planning for Biology-related queries from parents.
Organize at least one Biology exhibition or quiz per session to engage students beyond textbooks.
Assist in school events like Science Day or Health Week with Biology-focused activities.
Who can do this job
You need a postgraduate degree in Biology with B.Ed or D.El.Ed. Two years of Biology teaching experience in a school is required. CTET or TET is preferred but not mandatory for this Biology Teacher Job in West Delhi. Fluency in English and Hindi is essential for smooth classroom communication.
