Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver Sanskrit curriculum for classes VI to X in accordance with CBSE guidelines.
2. Conduct interactive lectures, discussions and practical sessions to improve reading, writing and speaking skills.
3. Prepare lesson plans, worksheets and assessments, and evaluate student performance regularly.
4. Organize Sanskrit related activities such as debates, recitations and cultural events to enhance student engagement.
5. Maintain classroom discipline, attendance records and timely submission of reports to the Head of Department.
6. Provide remedial support to students who need extra assistance and coordinate with parents for progress updates.
7. Participate in staff meetings, professional development programmes and school events as required.
8. Contribute to the Sanskrit Teacher Recruitment in Delhi initiatives by mentoring junior staff and sharing best practices.
Qualification and Experience
Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in Sanskrit along with B.Ed or D.El.Ed certification. A minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a school setting is essential, and candidates with TET/CTET qualification will be preferred. Strong command over Sanskrit literature, effective communication skills and familiarity with modern pedagogical methods are required.
Salary and Location
The position offers Rs.30,000 - Rs.45,000 per month and is based at Kamal Public Sr. Sec. School, Patel Nagar, West Delhi, Delhi.
