Sanskrit (TGT) Vacancy in Punjabi Bagh, West Delhi, Delhi
St Marks Senior Secondary Public School | West Delhi
Job Description
St. Marks Senior Secondary Public School invites applications for a TGT Sanskrit Teacher to join its faculty in Punjabi Bagh, West Delhi. This role requires a deep expertise in classical and modern Sanskrit pedagogy, tailored to meet the evolving academic needs of students. The teacher will shape students’ understanding of Vedic traditions, grammar, and literary works while ensuring alignment with CBSE syllabi.
The primary responsibility lies in delivering rigorous Sanskrit language instruction, including grammar, composition, and translation. You will also design and implement project-based learning such as Vedic chanting sessions, classical poetry analysis, and cultural workshops. Engagement with students on Sanskrit prosody, mantra recitation, and regional adaptations of Sanskrit texts will be crucial.
Assessment methods will include oral examinations, written tests on grammar and literature, and practical evaluations like recitation competitions and script analysis. Your ability to integrate ancient texts with contemporary relevance—such as adapting Sanskrit for modern students—will be key. Collaborating with the school’s curriculum team to refine Sanskrit modules will also be part of your duties.
For this position, a postgraduate degree in Sanskrit with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory. A minimum of four years of teaching experience, preferably in Sanskrit or related humanities, is required. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, prior certification will be an asset.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 35,000 per month, along with the opportunity to contribute to St. Marks’ commitment to preserving and teaching Sanskrit in a dynamic, student-centered environment. Punjabi Bagh’s cultural diversity offers a vibrant backdrop for fostering linguistic and spiritual growth among students.
