Develop and update lesson plans, syllabus-based modules, and assessment frameworks for chemistry. Collaborate with the chemistry department to integrate interdisciplinary learning, such as environmental science or industrial applications. Participate in curriculum reviews and suggest improvements based on student performance trends. Attend departmental meetings to discuss teaching strategies and resource allocation.
Periodic Responsibilities
Prepare and review student portfolios, including lab reports and project submissions, to assess overall development. Organize chemistry-related workshops or guest lectures with industry experts or researchers. Ensure all lab equipment and resources are well-maintained and safely accessible for students.
To qualify for this role, a postgraduate degree in Chemistry is essential, along with at least two years of teaching experience, preferably in high school or equivalent. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is required for teaching certification. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, experience in state board curriculum alignment is a strong asset.
