Preparing and maintaining student records for attendance, assessments, and disciplinary matters also falls under daily duties.
Regular responsibilities across the academic cycle involve collaborating with the subject coordinator to refine teaching strategies and align with Podar International School’s pedagogical goals. Organizing field trips and guest lectures to bring social science topics to life for students is a recurring task. Assisting in organizing school events related to history or civic awareness, such as cultural fairs or awareness campaigns, is part of the ongoing role. Ensuring compliance with school policies on curriculum implementation and assessment is also a continuous responsibility.
Periodic responsibilities include participating in departmental meetings to discuss teaching methods and student performance trends. Conducting periodic parent-teacher interactions to discuss student progress and address concerns is important. Completing annual performance evaluations and submitting necessary documentation for academic and administrative updates are also part of this role.
To qualify, a graduate degree with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory. Three years of teaching experience, preferably in social science or a related subject, is required. While TET/CTET is preferred, it is not mandatory for this position. A strong command of English and Gujarati is essential, along with the ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs.
