Teaching Sanskrit to classes VI to X at Delhi Public School means preparing lesson plans that blend traditional texts with interactive activities. You will manage a classroom of 30‑35 students, conduct regular assessments and maintain records. The role also involves coordinating cultural events like Navratri and Sanskrit debates, making the work vibrant and community‑focused.
What you will actually do
- Deliver the prescribed Sanskrit curriculum as per CBSE guidelines.
- Design worksheets, quizzes and project work that encourage speaking and comprehension.
- Conduct oral recitation and pronunciation drills to build fluency.
- Prepare and evaluate term exams, assignment marks and practicals.
- Organize Sanskrit clubs and inter‑school competitions.
- Liaise with senior teachers for interdisciplinary projects, especially during festivals.
- Maintain attendance, progress reports and parent‑teacher communication.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
Who can do this job
Candidates must hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed in Sanskrit and possess a postgraduate degree in Sanskrit or related field. A minimum of three years teaching experience in a school setting is required. CTET/TET qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
