PGT Political Science Teacher Position at Shri O P Jindal Vidya Niketan in Mundra, Kachchh
Shri O P Jindal Vidya Niketan invites experienced educators to join as a Political Science PGT in its Kachchh campus, where a dynamic curriculum meets a diverse student body. This role offers a chance to shape young minds with a deep understanding of governance, international relations, and contemporary political theories in a supportive academic environment.
The PGT Political Science Teacher will design and deliver engaging classroom lessons aligned with the school’s syllabus, ensuring students grasp key concepts like Indian polity, comparative politics, and political ethics. You’ll also assess student progress through practical exams, projects, and discussions, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills. Weekly lesson planning, preparation of study materials, and collaboration with the department head to refine teaching strategies are essential responsibilities. Participation in extracurricular events, such as debates, mock elections, and guest lectures, will enhance students’ exposure to real-world political discourse. Regular feedback sessions with students and parents will help address learning gaps and improve academic outcomes. Additionally, you’ll assist in organizing field trips or workshops related to political science, ensuring hands-on learning experiences.
To qualify, a postgraduate degree in Political Science or a related discipline is mandatory, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree for teaching certification. Two years of relevant teaching experience in Political Science at the secondary or senior secondary level is preferred. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory for this role, it will be highly advantageous. Your passion for political education and ability to inspire students in this subject will be key to success in this position.
