Teaching mathematics to class X and XI, the teacher plans and delivers lessons that blend conceptual understanding with practical problem‑solving. Scope of the role
The teacher handles the full mathematics curriculum for the specified classes, ensuring alignment with state standards. Responsibilities extend to coordinating with subject coordinators, participating in departmental meetings, and contributing to school initiatives that promote mathematical literacy.
Core academic duties
Design and deliver lesson plans that cover algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics. Use varied instructional strategies to cater to diverse learning styles. Provide timely feedback on assignments, monitor progress, and support students who need additional help. Maintain accurate attendance records and manage classroom resources.
Assessment and planning duties
Prepare and administer periodic tests, quizzes, and end‑term examinations. Analyze results to identify learning gaps and adjust instructional approaches accordingly. Collaborate with the curriculum team to update teaching materials and incorporate new educational tools. Participate in internal assessment panels and contribute to the development of assessment rubrics.
Qualification and experience
Post‑graduate degree in Mathematics or related field required. B.Ed or D.El.Ed mandatory; TET/CTET is not required. Minimum of four years of teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting. Strong command of mathematical concepts and proven ability to convey them effectively.
Salary and location
Full‑time position at Shree Vasishtha Vidhyalaya | Surat, Kamrej, Surat, Gujarat. Salary ranges from Rs.25,000 to Rs.35,000 per month.
