Shannen School in Karelibaug seeks a dedicated PGT Geography Teacher to join its team and inspire students with an engaging curriculum in physical and human geography. This role is ideal for an experienced educator passionate about shaping young minds through interactive lessons and real-world applications of geographical concepts.

You will design and deliver advanced geography lessons, covering topics like climate systems, environmental studies, and regional geography, ensuring alignment with school syllabi and national education standards. Your expertise will extend to planning field trips and organizing workshops that encourage hands-on learning, such as mapping exercises, data analysis projects, and sustainability initiatives. Collaborating closely with the geography department, you’ll contribute to curriculum development, assess student performance, and provide mentorship to junior teachers. Maintaining a dynamic classroom environment, you’ll adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning needs, using multimedia tools, virtual simulations, and collaborative projects. Your role will also include coordinating with parents and external agencies to promote geographical awareness in the community, such as organizing awareness campaigns on climate change or urban planning. Ensuring compliance with school policies, you’ll document lesson plans, assessments, and student progress systematically. Participating in departmental meetings and professional development workshops will help you stay updated on best practices in geography education. Your leadership will extend to supervising student research projects and guiding them in presenting findings, fostering critical thinking and research skills. To qualify, you must hold a postgraduate degree in Geography along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification.
