PGT Sociology Teacher Role at Shannen School, Vadodara
Shannen School in Vadodara seeks a dedicated PGT Sociology Teacher to join its faculty, shaping young minds with a deep understanding of social sciences. This full-time position offers a monthly salary of Rs.40,000 to Rs.70,000, with the right candidate bringing expertise and passion to guide students through sociology’s evolving concepts.
The role demands a postgraduate degree in Sociology or a related field, along with at least three years of teaching experience. While TET/CTET isn’t mandatory, a strong command of classroom instruction and pedagogical skills will be highly valued. The ideal candidate should excel in engaging students with current social issues, fostering critical thinking and ethical awareness.
Responsibilities include designing and delivering engaging sociology lessons, aligning with the school’s curriculum while incorporating real-world examples. You’ll assess student progress through assessments, discussions, and projects, ensuring they grasp theories like social stratification, urbanization, or cultural change. Collaboration with the faculty to develop interdisciplinary projects will also be part of the role.
A deep understanding of Gujarat’s socio-cultural landscape would be an asset, as would experience in motivating diverse student groups. The position requires maintaining professionalism, adapting teaching methods for varied learning levels, and contributing to the school’s commitment to holistic education.
Beyond the classroom, you’ll participate in extracurricular activities, such as workshops or debates, to reinforce sociological principles. The school values innovation in teaching—whether through multimedia presentations, guest lectures, or field trips—so creativity in lesson planning is encouraged.
This role is for someone who sees sociology as more than a subject but as a tool for social awareness. If you’re eager to inspire students to explore society’s complexities with curiosity and empathy, this opportunity aligns perfectly with your goals.
