Role Summary

Pedagogy and Tools

Day-to-Day Duties
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans for Economics classes, ensuring that they are engaging and relevant to our students' needs.
- Teach Economics classes to students of various age groups and skill levels, using a range of teaching methods and materials.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on their understanding of Economics concepts.
- Develop and implement assessments and evaluations to measure student learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum changes and improvements.
- Participate in school events and activities related to Economics and commerce.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local business and industry partners to provide students with opportunities for internships and work experience.
- Contribute to the development of a learning community that values creativity, critical thinking, and entrepreneurship.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in Economics education.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Economics or a related field from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree from a recognized university.
- TET/CTET certification is preferred but not essential.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of Economics concepts and theories.
- Excellent teaching and communication skills.
- Ability to use digital tools and resources to enhance learning.
- Experience of teaching Economics to students of various age groups and skill levels.
- Familiarity with local business and industry partners.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
