The Geography Teacher will have the opportunity to engage with students from various socio-economic backgrounds, fostering a sense of community and inclusivity.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Teach Geography to students from grades 6 to 12
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the academic needs of students
- Engage with parents through regular progress updates and parent-teacher meetings
- Participate in school events and activities, such as science fairs and cultural festivals
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide programs and initiatives
- Conduct research and stay updated on educational trends and methodologies in Geography
- Provide guidance and support to students on their academic and personal development
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to the school's decision-making process
- Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Eligibility Criteria
- Postgraduate degree in Geography or related field
- B.Ed./D.El.Ed. degree
- 3 years of teaching experience in a school setting
- Strong understanding of Geography curriculum and pedagogy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
