Alpine Public School
Job Description
Alpine Public School in Ambala Cantt is looking for a dedicated PRT Social Science Teacher to join their team and inspire young minds with engaging lessons in history, geography, and civics. This role is ideal for someone passionate about shaping students’ understanding of India’s diverse cultures, political systems, and global connections.
Teaching duties will include designing lesson plans that align with the latest CBSE syllabus, ensuring interactive and thought-provoking sessions for classes III to VIII. You’ll conduct daily classes, explain complex concepts like the Indian Constitution, colonial history, and regional diversity in simple terms. Classroom management will involve creating a positive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and participate actively. Field trips and guest lectures will be organized to bring history and geography to life, such as visits to historical sites like the Ambala Fort or local heritage spots. Assessment will focus on both academic progress and students’ engagement with real-world social issues.
You’ll also collaborate with the principal and teachers to integrate social science topics into cross-curricular activities, like science experiments tied to environmental studies or discussions on ethics in technology. Parent-teacher interactions will be handled with patience, addressing concerns about students’ performance in social studies. Maintaining discipline while fostering respect for diverse viewpoints is key. Keeping students updated on current affairs through news analysis and debates will also be part of your role.
Alpine Public School values teachers who blend subject expertise with creativity. A graduate with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is essential. Two years of teaching experience, preferably in social science, will be highly beneficial. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, a valid certificate will be an advantage. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of Rs.13,000 to Rs.20,000 per month, along with a supportive work environment in Ambala Cantt.
