Role Summary
Vaish Model Sr. Sec. School is seeking an experienced Post Graduate Teacher in Physics for a senior role that can shape the department and mentor younger colleagues. What You Will Do
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans for Physics at the senior secondary level, aligning with CBSE guidelines and the school’s academic calendar. Prepare students for JEE Main, NEET, and board examinations through focused test series and conceptual clarity sessions.
Oversee the Physics lab, ensuring all equipment is calibrated, maintained, and ready for hands-on experiments as per CBSE norms. Curate experiments that reinforce classroom theory and encourage inquiry-based learning among students.
Monitor student progress through regular assessments, identifying learning gaps and suggesting remedial measures for weak performers. Provide detailed feedback to parents during PTMs and suggest home-based interventions where needed.
Mentor newly joined Physics teachers, sharing best practices in pedagogy, classroom management, and student engagement. Conduct peer observations and model effective teaching strategies for junior staff.
Analyze past board result trends and set realistic improvement targets for the Physics department. Implement data-driven strategies to enhance pass percentages and average scores year-on-year.
Organize and conduct Physics Olympiad training camps for interested students, preparing them for national and international competitions. Represent the school in inter-school science fairs and academic forums in Haryana.
Collaborate with the academic coordinator to integrate STEM activities and cross-disciplinary projects involving Physics and other subjects. Align annual academic events like Science Week with curriculum themes.
Contribute to the annual academic audit and self-appraisal reports for the Physics department. Present departmental updates during staff meetings and school management reviews.
Maintain a professional development log, attending at least two subject-specific workshops or webinars every academic year and sharing key learnings with the team.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Physics with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university. B.Ed is mandatory for this position as per CBSE requirements.
A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level in a reputed school is essential. Experience in coaching for JEE Main or NEET will be given preference.
Professional certifications like NET or SET in Physics are desirable but not mandatory. Familiarity with CBSE examination patterns and evaluation processes is a must.
What You Get
The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly salary in the range of Rs.50,000 to Rs.80,000 based on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include provident fund, health insurance, and annual performance-linked increments.
