Delhi Scholars International School | Farirdabad seeks an experienced accountant to manage financial operations, budgeting, and compliance for the school campus in Faridabad, Haryana.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and statutory reports.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Indian accounting standards.
Manage payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of salaries to staff and vendors.
Oversee procurement processes, verifying invoices against purchase orders and ensuring adherence to school policies.
Coordinate with external auditors during annual audit cycles and implement audit recommendations.
Prepare cash flow projections and assist in developing the annual budget in collaboration with senior management.
Maintain fixed asset register, handle depreciation schedules, and manage asset disposals.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including GST, income tax, and other applicable levies, and file returns accurately.
Monitor and manage bank accounts, including opening new accounts, managing credit lines, and handling foreign exchange transactions as required.
Maintain petty cash and expense claims, ensuring all reimbursements are processed within policy limits.
Track and report on key financial metrics, providing insights to support strategic decision‑making.
Support the finance team with ad hoc financial analyses for special projects, capital expenditures, and fundraising initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
Graduate degree in any discipline with a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a similar environment.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory compliance.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Salary and Benefits
Competitive salary range of Rs.20,000 – Rs.30,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
