Role Summary
St. Columbus School is looking for a Music Teacher to oversee music-related activities and events. The role involves planning, coordinating, and leading music programs that enhance student participation and school culture. This position plays a key role in maintaining the school’s reputation for cultural and artistic excellence.
What You Will Do
Organize weekly music rehearsals for school choirs, bands, and ensembles in coordination with the cultural coordinator.
Plan and execute annual school events like Independence Day, Republic Day, and cultural fests with live musical performances.
Manage a team of student musicians, ensuring discipline and regular practice schedules during and after school hours.
Maintain inventory of musical instruments, accessories, and sound equipment for smooth operations.
Collaborate with the art department to integrate music themes into school decorations and events.
Liaise with external music instructors or guest artists for workshops and special performances.
Ensure all musical equipment is in working condition and arrange repairs or replacements as needed.
Prepare reports on student participation, event outcomes, and inventory status for school management.
Eligibility Criteria
Must Have
Graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 3 years of experience in music coordination or leadership roles.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification from a recognized institution.
Experience in organizing school-level music events or competitions.
Good to Have
Prior experience at St. Columbus School or similar reputed schools in Faridabad.
Familiarity with Indian classical, Western, or contemporary music formats.
Knowledge of basic audio equipment and sound system operation.
Preferred Skills
Strong leadership to guide student musicians and junior staff.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with students, parents, and external agencies.
