About This Role
St. Columbus School in Faridabad, Haryana is seeking an experienced PGT Philosophy Teacher to join its academic team. As a senior member of the Philosophy Department, you will play a key role in shaping the educational journey of our students.
What You Will Do
- Design and deliver engaging Philosophy lessons to students in Class 11 and 12, aligning with the NCERT curriculum.
- Foster a collaborative learning environment that encourages critical thinking, debate, and intellectual discussion.
- Prepare students for board exams by developing effective study materials, conducting regular assessments, and providing personalized feedback.
- Develop and implement curriculum-based projects and activities that promote deeper understanding and application of philosophical concepts.
- Mentor and guide junior teachers in Philosophy, providing guidance on lesson planning, teaching methods, and classroom management.
- Collaborate with other subject teachers to integrate interdisciplinary learning and promote holistic education at St. Columbus School.
- Conduct regular progress checks and provide feedback to students, parents, and other stakeholders as required.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Philosophy education and incorporate them into your teaching practices.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and activities that promote academic excellence, character development, and community service.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, you must possess a postgraduate degree in Philosophy from a recognized university, along with a valid B.Ed/D.El.Ed certificate. A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a senior role, preferably in a school setting, is also required. While not mandatory, a valid TET/CTET certification is preferred.
