Key Responsibilities
- Teach Dance classes to students from grades 1 to 12, following the school's curriculum and syllabus.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans, incorporating various dance styles, including classical, folk, and contemporary.
- Collaborate with other teachers to develop interdisciplinary projects, integrating dance with other subjects like music, art, and drama.
- Engage with parents through regular progress updates, workshops, and cultural events, ensuring they are informed about their child's dance progress.
- Participate in school events, such as cultural festivals, concerts, and performances, showcasing students' dance skills.
- Develop and maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment, adhering to the school's values and code of conduct.
- Stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies, curriculum changes, and dance practices, attending workshops and training sessions as needed.
- Contribute to the development of school policies, procedures, and resource materials related to dance education.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Dance, Music, or a related field (B.Ed./D.El.Ed. required, TET/CTET preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a similar role, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge, pedagogical skills, and ability to adapt to the school's curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
