Special Educator Job in Faridabad, Haryana | School Vacancy — Immediate requirement.
Role Summary
G.d. Goenka Public School is inviting applications for the position of Special Educator in Faridabad. This is a full-time role requiring 5 years of relevant experience in special education administration and program management. The candidate will report directly to the school’s administrative leadership and work closely with external agencies for compliance and support.
Day-to-Day Duties
1. Design and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs in coordination with the school leadership.
2. Conduct regular assessments of students’ progress and maintain detailed documentation for school records.
3. Organize and supervise therapy sessions, shadow teachers, and support staff to ensure consistent support in classrooms.
4. Liaise with parents, therapists, and government officials for documentation, compliance, and resource allocation.
5. Train and guide shadow teachers and classroom assistants on adaptive teaching strategies and behavior management.
6. Prepare quarterly reports on special education program outcomes for submission to the school management.
7. Coordinate with NGOs and government bodies for certification, aids, and grants under RPWD Act and other relevant schemes.
8. Oversee the maintenance of assistive devices and ensure timely repairs or replacements as needed.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduation in any discipline is mandatory. A degree or diploma in Special Education (B.Ed./D.El.Ed. with Specialization in Learning Disabilities) is essential. Proficiency in Hindi and English is required. Basic computer skills including MS Office and data management are necessary.
Skills We Value
Experience in developing IEPs and behavior intervention plans is highly preferred. Knowledge of RCI guidelines, RPWD Act, and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan norms is an added advantage. Strong documentation skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders are critical.
Perks and Pay
The position offers a monthly salary between Rs.30,000 and Rs.50,000 based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include PF, ESI, and access to professional development programs.
