Role Summary
The TGT Hindi Teacher will handle classes 6 to 8, crafting lesson plans that align with CBSE patterns and preparing students for both written and oral assessments. St. Columbus School expects the teacher to contribute to cultural events like Hindi Divas and inter-house Hindi debates.
What You Will Do
Teach Hindi grammar, literature, and writing skills to middle-school students using textbooks and supplementary readers.
Prepare daily lesson plans and weekly unit tests aligned to CBSE grade-level outcomes.
Conduct remedial sessions for students scoring below average in Hindi.
Organize class-wise Hindi recitation competitions and prepare students for inter-school Hindi elocution.
Grade notebooks and assignments regularly, returning feedback within 48 hours.
Collaborate with the Hindi department to share resources and co-create worksheets.
Attend monthly staff meetings and contribute ideas for cultural events.
Maintain classroom discipline while fostering a love for Hindi language and literature.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Hindi from a recognized university.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with Hindi specialization.
Minimum three years of classroom teaching experience in Hindi for middle school.
Preference for candidates with TET or CTET certification.
Familiarity with CBSE Hindi syllabus and assessment patterns preferred.
Salary and Benefits
Monthly salary ranges from Rs.25,000 to Rs.45,000 based on qualifications and experience.
