About This Role
Rps International School, Rosewood City, Sector 50, Gurugram is looking for a dedicated Chess Coach to design and lead the school’s chess program. The role involves developing young players, organizing internal tournaments, and representing the school in inter-school competitions across Haryana. Strong leadership is needed to mentor students and work closely with the sports department.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan weekly chess training sessions for different age groups at Rps International School, Rosewood City, Sector 50, Gurugram.
Conduct strategy drills, puzzle-solving, and mock matches to improve tactical thinking.
Organize and supervise school-level chess tournaments and selection trials.
Maintain records of student progress, attendance, and performance metrics.
Collaborate with the sports coordinator to integrate chess with the overall athletic calendar.
Coordinate with parents for participation consent and progress updates.
Arrange equipment like chess clocks, demo boards, and digital training tools.
Represent the school in zonal and state-level Chess Coach Vacancy in Gurugram tournaments.
Who Can Apply
Must Have
Postgraduate degree in any discipline.
Minimum 3 years of chess coaching experience in a school or academy.
Familiarity with FIDE rules and tournament formats.
Good to Have
National-level chess player or recognized coach.
Experience in conducting online chess sessions for students.
Knowledge of Indian school sports policies.
Preferred Skills
Leadership to guide junior players and junior coaches.
Management skills to plan tournaments and logistics.
Excellent communication to explain game concepts clearly.
Ability to work under the sports department’s guidance at Rps International School, Rosewood City, Sector 50, Gurugram.
What You Get
Rs.45,000 - Rs.90,000 per month, based on experience and qualifications.
