Maitree International School invites applications for the NTT Mathematics Teacher position in Gurugram. How You Will Teach
You will use real-life objects, visual aids, and simple manipulatives to explain basic math concepts like counting, shapes, patterns, and measurements. Classroom activities will include counting games, sorting exercises, and storytelling with numerical elements. Technology integration, such as educational math apps, will be encouraged to enhance learning.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and conduct daily mathematics lessons aligned with the school’s early childhood curriculum for NTT classes. Prepare teaching materials such as flashcards, charts, and small teaching aids specific to math concepts.
Assess students’ understanding through informal methods like observation, games, and simple worksheets. Maintain records of progress and share feedback with parents during informal interactions.
Organize math-related activities, events, and celebrations that promote interest in numbers among young learners. Collaborate with other NTT teachers to integrate math into storytelling, art, and movement activities.
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where every child feels comfortable exploring numbers. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and curriculum planning workshops as scheduled.
Required Qualifications
Graduation in any discipline with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized Indian institution. Minimum two years of experience in teaching Mathematics at the pre-primary or early primary level in a school environment.
Preferred Skills
Fluency in English and Hindi, with the ability to communicate mathematical concepts simply and effectively. Familiarity with early childhood math pedagogy and the use of digital tools for young learners.
