Role Responsibilities
The selected candidate will design and deliver engaging Botany lessons that align with the state curriculum, incorporating both theoretical concepts and laboratory activities. They will prepare detailed lesson plans, manage class resources, and assess student performance through quizzes, projects, and practical exams. The teacher will also supervise field trips to botanical gardens and farms, ensuring students gain hands‑on experience. Maintaining an updated record of student progress, attendance, and behavior is essential. Collaboration with fellow faculty to integrate interdisciplinary projects and participate in school meetings, workshops, and curriculum development sessions is expected. Additionally, the teacher will mentor junior staff and contribute to the development of science club activities, encouraging students to pursue research and environmental initiatives.
Eligibility
Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in Botany or a related field. A minimum of two years of teaching experience at the PGT level is required. B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory, while TET/CTET certification is preferred but not compulsory. Demonstrated ability to create interactive learning environments and a passion for nurturing students’ scientific inquiry will be considered favorable.
Salary and Employment
