Ambience Public School in Gurugram is seeking a dedicated PGT Chemistry Teacher to inspire and guide students through advanced chemistry concepts. This role requires someone passionate about fostering scientific curiosity and preparing students for higher education in STEM fields.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans covering high school and intermediate-level chemistry, ensuring alignment with the latest CBSE and state board curricula. Conduct hands-on experiments and practical sessions to enhance students’ understanding of chemical reactions, periodic trends, and laboratory techniques.
Assess student performance through continuous evaluation, including weekly tests, project submissions, and participation in school-based assessments. Maintain detailed records of student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve academically.
Collaborate with the chemistry department head to refine teaching methods, share best practices, and ensure consistency in curriculum delivery. Participate in school events like science fairs, workshops, and inter-school competitions to promote chemistry-related learning.
Prepare and maintain well-organized laboratory resources, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed for all experiments. Train junior teachers and teaching assistants on chemistry teaching techniques and lab safety measures.
Engage with parents through regular interactions, explaining chemistry concepts in simple terms and addressing their concerns about student performance. Stay updated on new educational trends, research advancements, and teaching tools in chemistry to improve lesson effectiveness.
Develop extracurricular activities such as chemistry clubs, quiz competitions, or model-making projects to encourage hands-on learning beyond the classroom. Attend professional development workshops and seminars to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge.
Maintain a clean, organized, and functional classroom environment that promotes a conducive learning atmosphere for students. Ensure all teaching materials, textbooks, and equipment are readily available for use during classes.
Participate in school administrative meetings and contribute ideas to improve the overall chemistry education program. Act as a mentor to students who excel in chemistry, guiding them toward future academic and career opportunities.
Ambience Public School offers a competitive salary of Rs. 55,000 to Rs. 75,000 per month, along with a full-time position in Gurugram, Haryana. The ideal candidate will hold a postgraduate degree in Chemistry with at least three years of relevant teaching experience. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory, while TET/CTET certification is preferred.
