Role Summary
Maitree International School invites Biology Teacher Job in Gurugram candidates for a full-time TGT Biology Teacher Vacancy in Gurugram. You will guide grades VI–X through NCERT-aligned concepts while embedding local context—think monsoon diseases, urban water pollution or the biology of Gurgaon’s parks. The role demands 3 years of classroom experience and a postgraduate degree in life sciences.
What You Will Do
Plan and deliver 8–9 periods weekly, embedding real-life examples from Gurugram’s environment—compare lung capacity of traffic policemen versus school children, map mosquito breeding sites near school boundaries.
Design low-cost labs using kitchen materials and mobile microscopes, documenting each setup for the department’s resource bank.
Assess students through formative tasks like concept maps, lab journals and quarterly open-book quizzes aligned to CBSE guidelines.
Collaborate with the Eco Club to plant native species on campus and track growth data in biology journals.
Conduct monthly parent webinars explaining teenage nutrition trends seen in Gurgaon’s malls and societies.
Mentor two students for the National Science Olympiad, coaching them through local past papers and online mock tests.
Attend weekly department huddles where teachers rotate presenting 15-minute micro-teach sessions on tricky topics like genetics or evolution.
Contribute to the school’s annual Science Mela—design stalls, judge projects and lead a live DNA extraction demo for parents.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences, Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology or Environmental Science from a recognized Indian university.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with Biology as a teaching subject.
Minimum three years of Biology Teaching Job in Gurugram experience in classes VI–X; CBSE familiarity preferred.
TET/CTET certification is welcome but not mandatory.
What You Get
A monthly gross salary between Rs.32,000 and Rs.55,000 commensurate with experience, along with government-mandated allowances and annual increments. Maitree International School also covers in-house PD workshops and partial reimbursement for approved biology resource purchases.
