Role Summary
This is a senior role for a Mathematics Teacher who can take ownership of the department at St Angels School. You will lead the TGT Mathematics team, shape the curriculum, and ensure strong board results. The position offers the chance to mentor junior staff and grow into a leadership role.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan and deliver engaging TGT Mathematics lessons for classes 6 to 10, aligning with CBSE standards. Prepare students for board exams with structured revision and practice sessions. Design monthly tests and term-end assessments to track progress.
Analyze board results and set improvement targets for the Mathematics department. Provide feedback to students and parents on academic performance and learning gaps. Collaborate with other subject teachers to integrate Mathematics with real-world applications.
Mentor two to three junior Mathematics teachers through lesson observations and feedback. Organize Mathematics workshops and inter-house competitions to boost interest. Represent the department in school academic meetings and parent-teacher conferences.
Who Can Apply
Postgraduate in Mathematics with a B.Ed degree from a recognized university. Minimum five years of teaching experience at the TGT level in a CBSE-affiliated school. TET or CTET certification will be an added advantage.
Familiarity with Haryana’s academic expectations and local student needs is preferred. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Candidates with prior leadership in a Mathematics department will be prioritized.
