Job Description
Role Summary
Yaduvanshi Shiksha Niketan is looking for a Post Graduate Trained PGT English Teacher to join its forward-thinking faculty. The school equips every classroom with smart boards, digital projectors, and high-speed Wi-Fi to support interactive English lessons. Candidates must have at least three years of teaching experience and a postgraduate degree in English.
Teaching Approach
English classes at Yaduvanshi Shiksha Niketan blend traditional literature with digital tools. Teachers routinely use Google Classroom for assignments and discussion forums, while the school’s learning management system tracks reading progress and vocabulary quizzes. Smart board lessons on grammar, poetry, and drama bring classic texts to life with audio-visual clips and real-time annotations.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver PGT-level English lessons for Classes 11 and 12, covering prose, poetry, drama, and writing skills. Prepare weekly Google Classroom modules that include audio readings of set texts, peer review sheets, and timed writing prompts. Conduct daily smart board sessions that annotate Shakespearean soliloquies or modern essays with student annotations. Maintain a digital grade book updated after every assignment and quiz. Organize bi-weekly online debates and extempore sessions for spoken English practice. Collaborate with the IT coordinator to upload lesson recordings to the LMS for absent students. Attend monthly tech training sessions to learn new tools like interactive quizzes and virtual field trips. Participate in parent-teacher webinars using Google Meet to discuss student writing portfolios.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in English with minimum 55% marks. B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification mandatory. Prior experience of teaching English at senior secondary level is essential. Familiarity with CBSE syllabus and marking scheme preferred. Hands-on experience with smart boards and Google Workspace is an advantage.
What Makes You a Fit
You should be comfortable using online teaching tools such as Google Classroom, Kahoot, and Canva for English resources. Experience with blended learning models—combining face-to-face instruction with digital modules—is valued. Quick digital literacy to troubleshoot minor tech issues in the classroom matters. A knack for creating engaging audio-visual content for English literature lessons counts strongly. Previous exposure to LMS platforms like Moodle or Edmodo is desirable.

The position offers a monthly salary between Rs.38,000 and Rs.65,000 based on qualifications and experience. Benefits include subsidized transport for Jind city routes, free meals on working days, and an annual professional development allowance.
