About This Role
At Dhruv Public School Fatehpur Pundri, we are looking for a highly experienced and motivated PGT Social Science Teacher to lead our Social Science department. This is a senior-level role that requires a strong academic background, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff. As a PGT Social Science Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Social Science to students at the senior secondary level.
What You Will Do
- You will be responsible for designing and delivering the Social Science curriculum at the senior secondary level.
- You will mentor junior staff members to ensure they are adequately prepared to teach Social Science.
- You will work closely with the Vice Principal to ensure the Social Science department meets the academic standards set by the school.
- You will prepare students for the Boards and ensure they achieve optimal results.
- You will develop and implement innovative teaching methods to engage students and improve their learning outcomes.
- You will collaborate with other subject teachers to ensure a holistic education for students.
- You will be responsible for maintaining the Social Science department's library and resource materials.
- You will participate in school events and activities related to Social Science education.
- You will stay updated on the latest developments in Social Science education and implement these in your teaching practices.
Required Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, you must have a postgraduate degree in Social Science (MA or M.Com) or a related field. You must also have a B.Ed. degree and at least 5 years of teaching experience. A NET or SET certification is preferred but not mandatory. Your teaching experience should be in a school setting, and you should have a strong academic background in Social Science.
