PRT Social Science Teacher Job in Kaithal, Haryana | School Recruitment
About This Role
This is a senior Social Science teaching position at Hindu Sr. Sec. School with added departmental responsibilities. The role is designed for an experienced educator who can lead the Social Science team and guide students towards strong board results. You will shape the department’s direction and mentor younger teachers in Kaithal.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Social Science to primary classes with clear focus on history, geography, and civics. Plan monthly and term-wise syllabus aligned to CBSE guidelines. Conduct weekly department meetings to review lesson plans and teaching aids. Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide remedial support in Hindi and English medium sections. Organize quarterly Social Science exhibitions showcasing student projects from Kaithal and nearby villages. Collaborate with Hindi and English departments for inter-disciplinary activities. Prepare students for CBSE Social Science competitions at district and state levels. Maintain resource corner with maps, charts, and documentaries for hands-on learning. Present quarterly academic reports to the principal highlighting department achievements.
Required Qualifications
Graduation in Social Science or related discipline from a recognized university. B.Ed or D.El.Ed with minimum 5 years of teaching experience in primary classes. CTET or Haryana TET preferred but not mandatory. Strong command of Hindi and English for classroom instruction. Familiarity with CBSE Social Science curriculum and assessment patterns.
