The reality of this role
At Ops International School Karnal you will spend your days guiding classes of 30‑40 students through grammar, literature and communication skills. Lessons start early, include interactive activities, and often continue with after‑school remedial support. You will coordinate with the Hindi and Science teachers to integrate language skills across the curriculum. The environment is vibrant, with parents regularly visiting and school events like annual day and sports meet.
What you will actually do
- Deliver the prescribed NCERT English syllabus for Classes VI to X.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets and audio‑visual aids tailored to the class level.
- Conduct regular assessments, mark answer scripts and provide constructive feedback.
- Organize reading circles, debates and spelling bees to enhance spoken English.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a supportive learning atmosphere.
- Participate in staff meetings, parent‑teacher interactions and school functions.
- Update the school’s digital attendance and grading system promptly.
- Mentor junior teachers and share best practices during departmental sessions.
Who can do this job
- Graduate degree in any discipline with B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification.
- Minimum three years of teaching experience in a school setting.
- TET/CTET qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must have cleared the relevant state eligibility criteria for English teaching.
