Assess student performance through continuous evaluation, providing timely feedback to guide their learning.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update lesson plans, resources, and assessment tools to support evolving educational standards. Collaborate with the science department to organize workshops, science fairs, and extracurricular activities that enhance students’ interest in STEM fields. Attend school meetings and planning sessions to stay updated on academic policies and best practices. Ensure proper maintenance of lab equipment and safety protocols for science experiments.
Periodic Responsibilities
Participate in term-end examinations and evaluations to assess student progress in science subjects. Conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance and areas requiring improvement. Attend professional development workshops or training sessions to enhance teaching methodologies and subject expertise.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Science with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Possess a valid TET/CTET certificate as preferred. Minimum two years of teaching experience, preferably in a science stream, is essential. Strong communication skills, patience, and a passion for nurturing young scientists are highly valued.
