Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Collaborate with other teachers to integrate dance into broader school activities, such as festivals or inter-house competitions. Maintain updated records of student progress, attendance, and participation in dance programs. Assist in organizing school events where dance performances are required. Stay informed about new teaching methods and curriculum updates related to dance education.
Periodic Responsibilities
Participate in school workshops or training sessions to improve teaching skills. Review and update teaching materials, including props, costumes, and educational resources. Occasionally represent the school in dance-related exhibitions or cultural fairs to showcase student talent.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a graduate degree in dance or related field. Minimum two years of teaching experience, preferably in a school setting. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, experience in managing diverse student groups is highly valued. Familiarity with school curriculum guidelines for arts subjects is beneficial.
