Responsibilities
- Design and deliver curriculum‑aligned geography lessons for classes 6 to 12, incorporating maps, atlases, and modern technology.
- Prepare and evaluate assessments, projects, and field trips that enhance students’ spatial awareness and environmental consciousness.
- Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and progress reports in accordance with school policy.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development workshops, and professional development sessions.
- Mentor junior teachers and support interdisciplinary collaborations with science and social studies departments.
- Conduct extracurricular activities such as geography clubs, map competitions, and local heritage visits to foster practical learning.
Qualification
- Post‑graduate degree in Geography or related field.
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed mandatory; TET/CTET preferred but not compulsory.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary level, preferably in a reputed school setting.
Salary and employment type
- Competitive remuneration ranging from Rs.30,000 to Rs.45,000 per month.
