Mathematics (PGT) Vacancy in Panipat, Haryana
D R MEMORIAL PUBLIC SCHOOL
Job Description
Institution Environment
D R Memorial Public School sits in a quiet corner of Panipat where the morning mist still clings to the rooftops when teachers gather for coffee. The corridors echo with the sound of students working out geometry on the blackboard, and the staff room is small enough that every conversation about lesson plans feels like a family discussion. Teachers here walk the same corridors every day, yet the culture stays fresh because everyone is expected to bring something new to the table—whether it’s a different way to explain trigonometry or a weekend workshop on Vedic math.
About This Role
The school needs a Post Graduate Trained Teacher in Mathematics to lead classes IX to XII and anchor the math club that competes at the district level. You will join a team that values precision and patience, where the principal still marks the register personally and the senior math teacher keeps a wall chart of every student’s last five test scores. Your role is to keep the numbers real for young minds who dream of engineering colleges in NCR and IITs beyond.
What You Will Do
Plan weekly micro-tests that fit into the tight CBSE schedule and return them within 48 hours so students can act before the next concept.
Design project-based assignments like calculating the volume of the school’s new rainwater harvesting tank to make calculus tangible.
Hold doubt-clearing sessions before the 7 a.m. assembly for students who travel by early buses from Karnal or Sonepat.
Coach the Olympiad team on weekend mornings in the library corner that smells of old trigonometry books.
Collaborate with the physics teacher to align the motion-in-a-plane chapter so students see the same coordinate system everywhere.
Organise a “Math Mela” every term where parents solve puzzles alongside children and discover that math is not a fear but a friend.
Maintain a running portfolio of student errors—misplaced decimal points, sign slips—so the same mistakes do not repeat in the next class.
Contribute to the school’s annual magazine with a two-page spread titled “Numbers in Our Lives” written at a level even the primary wing can read.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics with minimum 55% marks.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) from a recognised institution.
Three years of full-time teaching experience in secondary or senior secondary classes.
CTET/TET is preferred but not mandatory; what matters more is the ability to explain the difference between a function and a relation without opening a textbook.
What You Get
A fixed monthly salary between Rs.30,000 and Rs.45,000 depending on experience and certifications, disbursed on the last working day of every month. In addition, the school covers local conveyance for trips to nearby markets for teaching aids and provides a modest book allowance every academic year.
