The leadership opportunity
This role offers a clear pathway to head of department status while leading a vibrant mathematics cohort at Vidya Vatika World School. You will guide curriculum design, mentor junior faculty, and shape the academic vision for mathematics in Panipat. Strategic responsibilities
1. Design and implement a progressive mathematics curriculum that aligns with state standards and national benchmarks.
2. Lead the Mathematics Department, coordinating lesson plans, assessment schedules, and professional development for teachers.
3. Analyze student performance data to identify learning gaps and develop targeted interventions.
4. Foster a collaborative learning environment by organizing peer‑review sessions and interdisciplinary projects.
5. Serve as the primary liaison between the school administration and the mathematics faculty on policy matters.
6. Champion the use of technology and innovative teaching tools to enhance conceptual understanding.
7. Oversee the preparation of students for competitive examinations such as UGC‑NET and state entrance tests.
8. Represent Vidya Vatika World School at educational conferences and workshops, building external partnerships.
9. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for teacher qualifications and classroom standards.
What you bring
A graduate degree with B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory, and a TET/CTET qualification is highly preferred. You possess at least two years of teaching experience in a school setting, with a proven record of curriculum leadership. Demonstrated ability to mentor peers, manage classroom dynamics, and drive academic excellence is essential. Strong communication skills and a strategic mindset will enable you to influence school policy and student outcomes.
Career trajectory and growth
You will begin as a PRT Mathematics Teacher and, within 3–5 years, advance to Head of Department, overseeing all subject areas. Compensation and benefits
