What You Will Do
Assess and counsel students facing emotional, social, or academic stress through structured sessions and individual support plans.
Implement school-wide mental health initiatives, including workshops and awareness programs for students and staff.
Maintain confidential records of counselling sessions and ensure compliance with ethical guidelines for student confidentiality.
Coordinate with external psychologists or specialists when specialized support is required for complex cases.
Develop and refine school policies on mental health, ensuring alignment with Vidya Vatika World School’s values.
Provide guidance to parents on managing their children’s emotional development and behavioural concerns.
Attend parent-teacher meetings to offer insights on student well-being and recommend supportive interventions.
Support the school’s leadership team in creating a culture of empathy and psychological safety for all students.
Eligibility Criteria
A postgraduate degree in Psychology or a related field with at least four years of relevant experience is mandatory.
Experience in school-based counselling or child psychology is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of child development theories and psychological assessment tools.
Certifications in counselling techniques or trauma-informed care are beneficial.
