About This Role

Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop the chemistry curriculum for the foundation class.
- Teach and mentor junior staff to deliver high-quality chemistry lessons.
- Analyze and improve board results for foundation chemistry students.
- Conduct regular appraisals and provide constructive feedback to junior staff.
- Maintain a well-organized and well-equipped chemistry laboratory.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement.
- Collaborate with other department heads to plan and implement school-wide initiatives.
- Represent the school in local and national chemistry competitions.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in chemistry and implement them in the curriculum.
Who Can Apply
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a post-graduate degree in Chemistry and a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience is required, with a proven track record of delivering excellent results. NET or SET qualification is preferred but not essential.
