Role Summary
The PRT Japanese Teacher will shape the linguistic foundation of young learners in Rohtak. Key Responsibilities
Teach foundational Japanese language skills to PRT students using interactive methods aligned with Rps International School’s curriculum. Plan weekly lesson plans that include listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities suitable for young learners. Assess student performance through regular quizzes, projects, and participation to identify areas needing reinforcement.
Conduct monthly cultural sessions where students explore Japanese traditions, festivals, and etiquette. Collaborate with other PRT teachers to integrate Japanese themes into school assemblies and inter-house competitions. Maintain student portfolios with samples of their work and quarterly progress reports for parents.
Organize language labs and audio-visual sessions to strengthen pronunciation and listening comprehension. Coordinate with the school librarian to stock age-appropriate Japanese storybooks and reference materials. Attend staff meetings and training programs to stay updated on language teaching methodologies.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university. B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree from a NCTE-recognized institution. Minimum three years of teaching experience in Japanese at the primary or middle school level.
Preferred Skills
Fluency in spoken and written Japanese (N4 level or above). Ability to create simple lesson plans and teaching aids without advanced software. Patience and creativity to handle mixed-ability classes in Rohtak’s multicultural environment.
