The Pushp World School in Sonipat is looking for an experienced PGT History Teacher to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about shaping young minds through engaging history lessons, blending academic rigor with real-world relevance.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging history lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum, ensuring students grasp key concepts like ancient Indian civilization, colonial history, and modern India’s political evolution. Develop interactive teaching methods, including field trips and multimedia presentations, to make history come alive for students. Assess student progress through continuous evaluation, providing constructive feedback to help them excel in exams and critical thinking skills. Collaborate with senior teachers to design unit plans and integrate history with other subjects like geography and social studies. Maintain a well-organized classroom, ensuring a conducive learning environment that fosters curiosity and respect for historical narratives. Participate in school events, such as history fairs and cultural programs, to promote the subject’s importance beyond the classroom.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in History or a related subject. At least two years of teaching experience at the secondary or senior secondary level is essential. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this position. A strong command of English and Hindi is required to effectively communicate complex historical concepts to diverse student groups.
Salary and Location
