Day-to-Day Duties
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans for Chemistry classes IX to XII
- Conduct experiments and demonstrations to illustrate key concepts
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on their understanding
- Develop and implement assessments to evaluate student learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver interdisciplinary projects
- Communicate with parents and guardians on student progress
- Participate in school-wide events and activities that promote Chemistry and STEM education
- Stay up-to-date with developments in the field of Chemistry and apply this knowledge to teaching practices
- Contribute to the development of the Chemistry department and school curriculum
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to school-wide decision-making processes
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Chemistry (M.Sc) or related field
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed certification
- TET or CTET certification (not mandatory)
- Minimum 4 years of teaching experience in a school setting
- Strong understanding of Chemistry curriculum and pedagogy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Passion for teaching and commitment to student learning
