Collaborate with other teachers to integrate music into broader school activities.
Assess student progress through practical demonstrations rather than written exams.
Manage music room equipment and ensure instruments are in good working condition.
Guide students in preparing for local music competitions and talent shows.
Keep detailed records of student attendance and participation in music activities.
What you need
Graduation degree in any discipline with a passion for music education.
Completion of B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory for this PRT position.
Minimum two years of experience teaching music in a school setting.
Strong knowledge of Indian classical music, Western basics, and folk traditions.
Ability to play at least one musical instrument proficiently.
Familiarity with the Himachal Pradesh school curriculum for arts subjects.
Good communication skills in Hindi and English to interact with diverse students.
