You will prepare and deliver engaging Social Science lessons, ensuring students grasp key concepts through interactive methods. Collaborate with the principal and teachers to align curriculum with national standards. Organize field trips and guest lectures to bring lessons to life. Maintain lesson plans and student progress records as required. Assist in organizing school events like cultural fairs and awareness campaigns. Use digital tools to enhance teaching, including online resources and multimedia presentations. Foster a positive classroom environment where students feel motivated to explore social sciences. Participate in school meetings and feedback sessions to improve teaching practices.
You must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science or related field with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Two years of teaching experience in a school setting is essential. A TET/CTET certificate is a plus but not mandatory. Strong communication skills and patience for diverse student needs are required. Ability to work in a team and adapt to Kangra’s mountainous terrain is beneficial. Knowledge of local history and geography would be an asset.
Effective classroom management, creativity in lesson planning, and a passion for social sciences are key. Familiarity with school policies and curriculum frameworks is important. Interest in community engagement and extracurricular activities is encouraged.
