PGT Botany Teacher Position at The Elixir School in Anantnag

Collaborate with the subject coordinator to ensure seamless integration of botany content with broader curriculum goals.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and assess practical experiments and lab work related to botany, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Organize field trips and workshops to expose students to real-world applications of botany, such as horticulture or environmental studies. Participate in curriculum development meetings to refine botany syllabi and teaching strategies. Maintain accurate records of student performance and contribute to annual academic reports.
Periodic Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver guest lectures or workshops for teachers and students on emerging trends in botany research. Conduct periodic evaluations and assessments to measure student comprehension and identify areas needing improvement. Attend school-wide professional development sessions to stay updated on educational best practices and botanical advancements.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Botany or a related field with a strong academic background. Possess a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification to ensure effective teaching methods. Minimum three years of teaching experience, preferably in botany or a science subject at the secondary or higher secondary level. Familiarity with state-level teaching certification like TET/CTET is an asset but not mandatory.
