The Elixir School in Anantnag is seeking a dedicated PGT History Teacher to join its faculty in the history department. In this capacity, the PGT History Teacher will design and deliver comprehensive lesson plans covering Indian and global history, from ancient civilizations to contemporary events. The focus will be on making complex historical concepts accessible while encouraging independent research and discussion. Curriculum development, including syllabus alignment with educational standards, will be a significant part of the responsibilities.
The teacher will also mentor students through projects, assignments, and examinations, ensuring they grasp historical narratives with depth and context. Collaboration with other faculty members will be essential to maintain academic coherence and support student growth. The role requires a strong command of historical theories, research methods, and teaching strategies tailored to high school students.
For this position, a postgraduate degree in History is mandatory, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Three years of relevant teaching experience in history or a related subject is preferred. While TET/CTET certifications are not mandatory, they will be considered favorably. The successful candidate will bring passion for history, adaptability in teaching methods, and a commitment to nurturing young scholars.
