PRT Music Teacher Role at New Whiz Kids High School in Anantnag
This role is for a Primary Teacher (PRT) specializing in Music at New Whiz Kids High School, located in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir. You will be responsible for teaching music to students in grades 6 to 8, fostering their interest in instruments, singing, and basic music theory. The position is full-time, focusing on creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences in a school environment.
You will plan and deliver music lessons, including group singing, instrumental practice, and simple composition exercises. Daily tasks will involve preparing lesson plans, conducting classroom activities, and assessing student progress through practical demonstrations and participation. The school values creativity and encourages collaboration with other teachers to integrate music across subjects when possible.
To qualify, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) along with a graduate degree in Music or a related field. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, having it will strengthen your application. A strong foundation in music theory, vocal or instrumental skills, and experience teaching in a school setting will be highly beneficial.
For this role, three years of teaching experience, preferably in music or general education, is expected. Experience in working with young learners, adapting lessons for diverse abilities, and using interactive teaching methods is particularly important. Familiarity with Jammu and Kashmir’s curriculum and educational standards would be an asset.
The salary for this position is Rs.15,000 to Rs.30,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
