What You Will Do
As a senior member of our English department, you will be responsible for the following key duties:
- Developing and implementing engaging English curricula that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
- Mentoring and guiding junior staff members to enhance their teaching skills and confidence.
- Analyzing and interpreting board results to identify areas of improvement and implementing strategies for growth.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement school policies and programs.
- Participating in departmental meetings to discuss curriculum development, student progress, and other relevant issues.
- Conducting regular assessments and providing constructive feedback to students.
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Coordinating with the Vice Principal to plan and implement school events and activities.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of school policies and programs related to English language teaching.
Who Can Apply
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
- A valid B.Ed/D.El.Ed degree.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching English at the secondary level.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a NET or SET qualification.
