PGT History Teacher Job in Jammu, Jammu And Kashmir | School Recruitment
The PGT History Teacher role at Shubh International School Akhnoor involves planning, teaching, and assessing students in Grades 11-12. You will handle two sections daily, prepare lesson plans aligned with the CBSE curriculum, and maintain accurate attendance and assessment records. Regular parent-teacher interactions are part of the job to update them on student progress in History.
What you will actually do
Prepare daily lesson plans for Classes 11 and 12 covering ancient, medieval, and modern Indian History, as well as world History topics. Conduct interactive lectures using maps, timelines, and primary sources to make lessons engaging. Assign regular projects on topics like the Mughal Empire or the Indian National Movement to develop analytical skills.
Mark unit tests, term exams, and internal assessments promptly and provide detailed feedback to students. Organize classroom discussions and debates on historical events to encourage critical thinking among students. Coordinate with other History and Social Science teachers to align teaching methods and resources. Participate in school events like history quizzes and heritage walks organized by Shubh International School Akhnoor.
Who can do this job
Postgraduate degree in History with minimum 55% marks required. B.Ed degree is mandatory. Two years of teaching experience in History at the senior secondary level is necessary. Candidates with UGC-NET in History will be given preference.
